The Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City (AWL) has announced that Mira Mdivani, was chosen to receive the AWL’s 2007 President Award for her “outstanding work for
AWL over the year.” Corporate immigration lawyers Mira Mdivani has generously contributed her energy and time to AWL’s project, and her most significant achievement this year has been spearheading, together with Janeen deVries and Molly Williams, the Step Up For Women in Shelter Project. As part of the Step Up project, AWL volunteer attorney provided pro bono representation to women referred by Hope House, New House, Operation Breakthrough, and several other area shelters providing services to vulnerable women and children.
